The Antoine Rabbat Research grant

We decided to honor the memory of Doctor Antoine Rabbat by awarding a prize to his name each year to an intern.

For those who did not know him, Antoine was a pulmonologist and resuscitator, head of the Intensive Respiratory Care Unit at Cochin Hospital in Paris. Previously, he had devoted most of his career to the development of Medical Resuscitation and Intensive Care Units and Respiratory Continuous Monitoring within the Pulmonology and Resuscitation department of the Hôtel-Dieu.

He was a pillar of the Research Group in Resuscitation Respiratory in Onco-Hematology (Grrr-OH), present from the beginning of the research group. He knew how to transmit his appetite for excellence, his ability to listen, his willingness to care for, help, support, accompany all those who, at one time or another, were close to him, that this either as colleagues, pupils, collaborators or patients. He has always fought hard to advance the quality of care.

The Antoine Rabbat grant provides funding for entry to the ESICM congress for the author of the selected project.
